The Oman American Business Center organised an iftar banquet and art exhibition celebrating the talents of local Omani artists who overcame physical disabilities to create impactful works of art. The event welcomed OABC members and the Guest of Honor H E Marc J Sievers, US Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, and guest speaker Safiya al Bahlani, one of Oman’s most inspirational artists and motivational speakers.
Safiya, despite being born with significant physical challenges, was able to find her passion and through the arts has continued to inspire people across the world. The gathering provided OABC members and other guests with an opportunity to engage with artists from Oman who were able to overcome their physical disabilities. Focusing on the role of art and creativity to help people reach their full potential no matter what their circumstances may be, the iftar reception and art exhibition paid tribute to the indomitable spirit of the artists on display.
