Shayan Sumar

Shayan Sumar is a Pakistani businessman who has been living in Oman since 1990 along with his family. He attended the American British Academy in Muscat where he graduated with an International Baccalaureate degree in 2005. He subsequently moved to London, UK where he completed his Bachelors from London Metropolitan University in International Business & Tourism in 2009.

From 2009 till 2015, Shayan gained experience in the real estate industry in both Dubai, UAE and Muscat, Oman. An entrepreneur at heart and with a family background in manufacturing, in 2016 he established his own business by the name of Apex Transgulf Manufacturing LLC in the Salalah Free Zone. Apex is involved in the manufacturing of specialized polyethylene packaging films, which it exports to the United States under the US-Oman Free Trade Agreement. Shayan is the Director of Marketing as well as a Director on the Board of the Company.

Shayan enjoys networking, traveling, and cricket, and has even represented the Sultanate of Oman by competing in the International Cricket Council’s Asia Cup in 2002-2003, held in Bangladesh.
