If you are interested in serving on the OABC board, our next election will be held in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Requirements for Board Members:
Must be an authorized representative of a Premium, Corporate, or SME member company, or an individual member of the OABC.
Must complete the nomination
Must be present at OABC Election Night
Attend quarterly OABC Board meetings and other meetings as needed.
Respond promptly to emails regarding OABC initiatives.
Work with the Executive Director to recruit new members to the OABC.
Provide financial oversight and input, approve the annual budget.
Actively participate in OABC events when possible, and other priorities of the organization.
Be willing to chair a committee or sector-specific task force of the OABC.
Show fiduciary responsibility, keeping in mind the interest of all OABC members and their greatest needs.
Be an Ambassador of OABC, representing the organization to external stakeholders and even within the membership.

May suggest special initiatives and events of the OABC
Involvement in high-level planning of specific programs or events of the OABC
Vote on high-level decisions to impact all OABC members
Receive promotions and invitations to premium member events as well as complimentary tickets for other organizations’ events
Build relationships with other Members of the Board and OABC leadership
