Ahmed specializes in inward investment, corporate restructuring, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. His diverse practice also includes arbitration in construction disputes, litigation, competition, tax and customs matters, banking, real estate, hospitality, and employment law. Notably, Ahmed has represented the Omani government in high-profile negotiations, including Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreements, the Free Trade Agreement with the USA, and infrastructure development contracts.
With a strong background in regulatory compliance, Ahmed has advised on the registration formalities, permits, and licensing requirements for various projects. His language skills and deep understanding of Oman’s administrative framework have positioned him as a key contributor to drafting pivotal legislation, such as the Sukuk Regulation, Consumer Protection Law, Anti-Trust Law, amendments to the Implementing Regulation of the Telecommunication Act, Dispute Resolution Regulation, and Public Consultation Regulation.
