Davis Kallukaran

Davis is a Commerce graduate from St. Thomas College, Trichur, and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Crowe Oman, a prominent firm of auditors and business advisors established in the Sultanate of Oman in 1995. Under his leadership, Crowe Oman has achieved numerous accolades, including the “Best Audit and Tax Advisory Firm in Oman 2020” award from Global Banking and Finance Review, London, and the Alam Al-Iktisaad award for 25 years of excellence in audit, tax, and advisory services, presented by His Excellency Qais Al Yousuf, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion.

Davis has made significant contributions to the accounting profession both locally and globally. In 2007-08, he was nominated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India to its International Affairs Committee. He is the Founder Chairman of the ICAI Muscat Chapter and a Certified Fraud Examiner, a credential awarded by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), USA, in 2006. Davis also founded and served as the past President of the Oman Chapter of ACFE. In 2014, Crowe Global, one of the top ten accounting networks worldwide, honored him with the “Pinnacle Award” for his outstanding contributions to the accounting profession and the network globally.

Recognized for his leadership and achievements, Davis was awarded “Oman Business Leader of the Year” in 2019 by His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Omar Al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service, and “Oman CEO of the Year 2020” by Global Banking and Finance Review. He is also the Founder Director of The Indo Gulf Middle East Chamber of Commerce (INMECC), an NGO with chapters across the Gulf region and India, established to foster regional collaboration.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Davis has co-authored a book on the taxation of non-resident Indians and is a regular columnist on tax-related matters for prominent Omani publications, including the Times of Oman, Muscat Daily, and Oman Observer. In 2023, he was nominated as the Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Investment Committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, further solidifying his role as a key influencer in Oman’s business landscape.
